My debut kids music CD, Birdie's Playhouse: "The Wild World of Wildlife," just won a Spring 2010 Parent's Choice award and is getting great reviews. We're performing at Kidspace Museum in Pasadena for Mother's Day and in October at the Natural History Museum, Los Angeles for Reptile appreciation day. Birdie's Playhouse also provides kids birthday entertainment & fun music classes for pre-schoolers. Kids 1 to 5 are going WILD -- Ole!

I also just sang on 2 tracks for PLAY, (a kiddie hang space in Hollywood) produced by Willie Aron, Peter Himmelman's keyboardist.

Singing

Michele was the only Latina RAY CHARLES backup singer in history and has sung on the score of HBO's SIX FEET UNDER as well as several feature films, on tour with Spanish mega-star RAPHAEL and as the leader of her own two bands.

Michele released her original music debut CD, PLASTIC GARDEN in 2007. Since then, this lush blend of electronic pop and world music has gotten Internet Radio play, placement in the feature film THE BLISS and signing to licensing companies including TRIPLE SCOOP MUSIC & INDIE 911.

Birdie Mendoza

BIRDIE MENDOZA is Michele's alter ego, who sings hip LATIN & JAZZ covers for special events -- and this band is a favorite among Hollywood Tastemakers. They play everything from "Oye Como Va " to "La Vida Es Carnaval" to "Too Darn Hot ." Clients include the MGM GRAND, DANCING WITH THE STARS, THE RITZ & NIC's MARTINI LOUNGE. Their next gig: the wedding of the managing partner of the Treehouse Social Club at the Royal T in Culver City.

Acting

Michele got serious about acting 5 years ago, after doing the upbeat student film "I KILLED MY HUSBAND TODAY" while living in Brisbane, Australia. When she and her real-life husband (who is in perfect health BTW) returned to their current home in Los Angeles, she took acting classes and has booked 3 co-star roles on BOSTON LEGAL, THE SHIELD & Fox's STANDOFF.

Also while in Australia, she began composing and recording songs for kids. Now she has a kids music CD, pre-school classes and provides entertainment for birthday parties all over LA. Kids 1 to 5 are going WILD for Birdie's Playhouse!
